Sarah is a ministry trainer, consultant, and coach based in Providence, RI. With 20 years of ministry experience in the church and parachurch, Sarah is passionate about equipping ministry leaders to flourish in their unique callings and contexts.
Before starting her own business, Sarah served as a Campus Staff Member and Area Director with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, where she developed local, regional, and national training experiences for both staff and students. After more than a decade on staff with InterVarsity, Sarah was assessed and approved by the Covenant Church as a church planter and served as the Executive Pastor for Sanctuary Church, a family of neighborhood congregations in Providence. Her primary responsibilities at Sanctuary included developing the people and the systems necessary to sustain healthy planting and growth.
TRAINING
Sarah has extensive experience with instructional design, training execution, and cohort design and facilitation for groups ranging from 5 to 500. Audiences have included: college students, church leaders, established pastors, church planters, movement leaders, national ministry leadership teams—and more. Topics have included: leadership skills, leadership development, evangelism, small groups + discipleship strategy, coaching technique, prayer ministry, the spiritual formation of children, fund development—and more. She enjoys developing training tools, handouts, workbooks, presentations, reproducible curricula, and more.
CONSULTING
With experience in hiring, supervision, system design, strategic planning, and general management, Sarah serves as a consultant to churches and leadership teams, helping them to align their systems and programs for ministry effectiveness and fruitfulness.
COACHING
Sarah is a Mastery-Level trained coach, proficient in both the GROW and COACH models of coaching. She coaches pastors, church planters, family ministry pastors, children's ministry teams, parents, and ministry leaders of all types.
Sarah graduated from Brown University in 2003.
Sarah has been married to her husband Greg for 18 years. Greg is the part-time pastor of Prayer and Renewal at Sanctuary Church, and the Executive Director of Revive New England. Their favorite ways to relax include kayaking, biking, and cross-country skiing. They have two boys, ages 14 and 9, who keep things loud and full of joy.
